My Cat Atticus

Named by my then 14-year old son who had just read To Kill a Mockingbird.

I took these last night testing my new Canon 28/1.8

Very nice, it's so hard to get a good shot of black cats

This is my 4 year old Oriental, Oscar - and yes - black cats are a real pain to photograph . . . . . .

Black cats are extremely difficult without either very strong sun light or a little bit of strobe to get any contrast. Otherwise, you have nothing but a black smudge! The good thing about bright ambient light, as in Oscar's portrait, is that the eyes are narrower and more "cat-like."
