So I took a trip to God's Country (56K)

There are more than a few, but they're all nature or animals.

My parents, my fiance, and myself all went to my parent's "weekend" home in Lenoir, NC (very western NC) up in the mountains. It was a blast to say the least.

Some nice shots you have here. Really like the star trails. Not sure I'd be picking up hairy caterpillars though (if you did that here you'd itch for weeks ).

Excellent shots! North Carolina is beautiful...I went white-water rafting there on the Nantahala a few years ago and had an awesome time.

As far as the caterpillars go that's my fiance's deal. She likes some bugs and when she saw it she snatched him up...glad I'm not the one that will be itching haha.

The only lens I had with me to use for the star trail was my 50MM 1.8II if my memory serves me correctly I believe I had the aperature was 5.6. I wanted to leave the camera open longer, but I had to wait so late for the sky/outside to get completely black, so it would've just made me stay up longer and I didn't want to leave my camera outside while I was sleeping.

Thanks again everyone. The butterfly shot along with the caterpillar and spider were taken with a cheap Quantaray Tele. And pretty much all of them were taken with a cheap tripod.

I think it would be neet if we could see or hear the expressions of people looking. These were like ooohhh, ahwaaa, oooh nice..... I really like stars, and then the green mountains. They are beautiful. Nice job. Mike
