I have been lurking on this website for a while now and have gained A LOT of knowledge for a newbie! But seeing I also don't have 30 posts i can't post in the classified section yet. But i am wanting to buy some RF-602 transmitter/recievers. From all that i have read on this set, it seems like the way to go. Yes i could buy new, but I am on a limited budget and learning as I go.

Also anyone have a compareable product to these?

Thank you for your help.

Alot of people have them, I am planing on buying a set. I have heard good things about them from a guy who owns pocket wizards, used these instead. Although he did have a few misfires.

I have these and love them, especially for the price. They are a great set for someone getting into off camera lighting.

If you are planning to buy them, I'd recommend you getting them from Amazon rather on eBay. You'll be pulling your hair out from frustration waiting to see when your RF602s will be arriving.

I ordered a receiver back on Nov 21st; it still hasn't arrived. Shipping from China this time is a lot slower than before. I don't know why.

I ordered another receiver on Amazon yesterday, and with the Amazon Prime trial, it is scheduled to arrive tomorrow.

On amazon it is $20 more, did you find it for less or a similar price to the sellers on ebay?

I would buy from ebay seller cissy.photo I have ordered from them multiples times and it's bee about 10 days delivery for me. Although they do send Post Office so this time of year with Christmas it'll probably take a bit longer.

rf602 are worth buying, they cost little and are very reliable. In the time I have them they have not misfired at all.
To compare them to I have Elinchrom Skyport that have already misfired many times in shorter period of time than the rf602. :)

Yes, they are an excellent product. I use it for off camera lighting and remote triggers, I can't believe how little they cost me.

I was torn between the RF-602's and the MK-RC7's which both are excellent products. It was pretty much a tossup between the two except for the standard AAA batteries and locking mechanism of the MK-RC7's.
I purchased mine from Linkdelight (external link) in HongKong on 12/05/10 and they arrived on 12/21/10.
You can't go wrong with either as both are great products. Good luck.

Nope, it is definitely more expensive on Amazon. The receiver is about $10-12 more on Amazon than it is from China. But for me its worth it over the long wait.

The MK-RC7 are also highly regarded. As far as getting the triggers shipped relatively fast from China or not, I've had 1 good and 1 bad experience so far. YMMV.

Thorrulz - Thank for the link, those ones are a bit cheaper then the RF-602. Now to try to find the right set up for the right price.

Thanks for the input!

I currently use RF-602 for triggering flash units and strobes, they work fine. I have also used Cybersyncs and don't notice any difference in reliability between the two. I also use an RF-602 set for remote camera triggering.

I bought mine from Ebay and they took 3-4 weeks to arrive. I emailed the seller to ask for a discount over the listed price on Ebay and he gave me one. Give it a try!

I've bought a few sets of RF602s all from seller jiakgong on ebay. Took about 2 weeks everytime for me to CA. So far I've got 3 trasmitters and 5 receivers and they work great
