The 550D lets you set that in the camera and then it's automagically included in every picture.

I'm looking for harsh criticism of my photos - tell me how to improve, I will be grateful.

Not EXIF, but IPTC.
That's one of the main reasons I still use Expression Media: It can write IPTC into the CR2 file (as opposed to adding an .xmp file)
