I have a thick skin and I know that I need to have mistakes pointed out to improve ;)
That being said, her face looks really bright, but my histogram doesn't say it's over exposed. Should I bring the exposure down some?

I like this picture alot. The light is bright on her forehead but you can't help that when the sun is out and the subject is facing the sun. I like the pine cone there. If it was my picture, I would just crop it so that there is more empty space in front of her less behind, thus giving the picture continuity, showing where is going, instead of having her look like she is walking out of the frame.

It doesn't look too bad at all, but you could do a mask and reduce the exposure very slightly on just her skin and white shirt.

I like the long shadows trailing behind her - shows the hard work she put in taking those steps (along with the intense focus on her face).

I think it has possibilities. I would open the shadow details on the subject and fade the background
to pop her away from it. (Love those little boots!)

EDIT: Maybe warm up the background a bit ...

Originally, that is how I cropped it, but I lost that nice long shadow. I'm still not sure which one I like better.

Thank you all for your suggestions and examples. I should learn how to use photoshop. I currently use Aperture which does a good job as basic things, but it's not as powerful as photoshop.

Pixi I think it's a really sweet shot. I would just put a vingnette around it and leave it be. Just my 2cents

No, it isn't just a gif. It's an animated gif. Search that term in Photoshop help files and you'll find step-by-step instructions. You have to use the panel under Windows > Animation.
