Unless my internet connection is holding out on me, the JPEG compression is at too low a quality with more artefacts than Laura Croft.

I think it's a great shot. The only thing that slightly bothers me is that you cant see his eyes.

Agreeing with this - my first thought was, "was this taken with a phone camera?" - otherwise, is this an incredibly tight crop, blown up by 150%?

I like the composition though, great capture of the moment.

Sorry about the artifacts.. My external hard disk packed up, 'til i get it fixed, i had to dig a copy up from my iPod, amazing how it messed up the quality of the pixels..

Tech details aside, I think the story in the photo is pretty good. Here we have a street performer - basically the lowest place an actor can be (except maybe, rehab) - using the sign of an internationally known theatre company to put on his makeup. It's got a juxtaposition and an irony to it that I really like.
