As the title states, the PW PII won't fire my 405 or 1205 packs. It was working the other day. They'll fire via the test button and the PII activates when the test is pressed on the on camera PII. I've tried different cables on each pack.

Got an idea though, going to try new batteries. If that doesn't work, anyone have any suggestions?

My village called. I was told that they missed me.

Speedotron users, untie!

New PII worked. Didn't try changing the batteries in the other one yet.

Batteries should always be the first thing you change or check. Twice, if necessary.

Is it normal for a Pocket Wizard to not have enough juice to fire a pack? That seems weird to me that the communicate without a problem, but the batteries aren't strong enough to trigger a pack.

My inability to figure out exactly how and why a pocketwizard works on low voltage causes me to make battery-changing my first option whenever ANYTHING seems weird.

It doesn't take much juice to power the electronics of the receiver. But it does require a bit more juice to power the electronic switch that triggers the strobe. So I can see how low batteries can affect the triggering but not the reception of the trigger signal.

Never used a pw with anything but a speedlight or a bee.

Does the Plus II work with the Speedlite or the Bee now but not with the Speedotron?
