I currently have most of this crammed into a Lowpro 200 and it's just not working... anyone have other suggestions on a larger backpack that will hold this - plus a little more room for some personal items? - No place nearby I can physically pick up and hold, so would have to purchase over the web - Weight is obviously an issue, but not as much as the need to carry a pretty good size inventory.. plus perhaps ... lunch & ..... a pint of Chevas for my back-country treks ? (Gotta stay warm!)

I have a bunch of F-Stop bags although it helps to be fully sponsored by them! They are a great company and they put out the best adventure photography products on the market. My Tilopa B.C. (All Black) just arrived the other day so I can't wait to take it out.

(emphasis added) suggests a degree of bias. In the interest of full disclosure, I have been offered gear from Tiffen (Domke) and refused, to retain my independence.

I have the med...top shelf protection.

top quality weather resistant zippers.

sigma 150 2.8
35l
1.4 and 2x TC's

light meter.
and some small accessories stuffed in with lens

I use the side pockets which are supposed to be for reach through to lens for more accessories

I use the laptop spot for portable softboxes for flashes, filter pouches and a reflector.

takes a tripod on back

another thing I like is that straps can be zippered behind a flap so they arent all over the place when carrying by top handle from car in house and stores neatly. rain cover also hidden in bottom.

Nikon D850 and a bunch of stuff, I have learned a lot here when I was shooting Canon, staying to keep learning..."Every time I set up I learn something new".

I just got an F-stop Tilopa. I haven't used it too much yet (one trip to NYC) but it's big, well constructed, and, well designed. If you can justify/find/beg/borrow/steal the money I'd say get one of these. I'd put it in the 'but the best, stop worrying about it' category.

If you get any more offers, send them to me. I don't care about my independence, no one listens to me anyway! :)

I just bought a Tamrac 777 and it holds my camera, five lenses including the 400 5.6 and the 70-200 2.8, flash, TCs, and lots of supplies. It is very well made and has excellent straps. The straps are a little bulky when not in use, but are very comfortable to use.

I love the Think Tank backpacks if all your caring is camera gear.

Tenba Shootout Medium, should hold everything you have plus a little room for expansion. I got mine just after Thanksgiving and used it on a trip to GA, and loved it. Comfortable, and worry free. I used it as a carry on and had no problems with getting it through TSA, even with the laptop in it.

I'll second the F-Stop Gear bags recommendation; and I'm not sponsored by 'em in any way ;)

I just picked up the new Tilopa BC and I love it. I can fit a 7D + 70-200 f/2.8 IS MkII w/hood reversed, 100-400L w/hood reversed, 100mm f/2.8 macro and 24-105L w/hood reversed into the medium ICU; and all the rest of my gear, including a 17in Macbook Pro w/power supply, Cotton Carrier vest and belt paddle, R-strap and all the misc timer cables, card reader, portable hard drive, etc in the rest of the bag while still having enough space that I could fit water, condensed food, clothing and other hiking essentials into the rest of the bag. The tripod mounts easily to the outside and there are MANY external attach points for other gear.

Once I have time I intend to do a proper post w/ pics...but work needs to slow a bit first.
