I think the focus is not great, tried to focus on the eyes. Experimenting with my Nifty Fifty; please let me know your thoughts.

The eyes don't appear to be the focal point - the fur between the eyes seems to be in focus a bit more. Also, white balance appears to be off.

Sorry I did mean between the eyes on the nose brow area. I had it on Auto white balance; I need to experiment more with WB and stop using auto too much.

Whats the exif data say? It looks like a couple of things might have gone wrong here.

Nice puss but obviously the focus is missed and I would wager that the metering exposed for the black as the highlights seem well and truly blown and using awb under artifical lighting is usually a recipe for colour casts. If you dont feel confident indoors setting a custom white balance, an 80b filter will give a more natural look.
