Finally back behind the still camera for the 1st time since early October. HS Wrestling with two Speedotrons Force 10 (external link) bounced off the ceiling. The lights were set to bounce over center of adjacent mats. When we moved to one mat for the finals, I was too lazy to adjust.

1) Let's get it started!

2) Pre-tournament round. I love getting on a step ladder with my 300 and get these bust shots. Something about a wrestler prep'ing for a tournament, walking that circle always seems to produce cool shots.

3) These are about to be pins.

7) I am one second from being squashed, squished and steam-rolled. The ref SAVED MY A$$, my camera and these wrestlers from having a 70-200 getting stuck somewhere!

8) I was experimenting with the 18-50 and resting the camera body on the gym floor with the lens resting on the mat. I would simply tilt the camera up a tiny bit and shoot when I would normally shoot. Ended up with a few cool ones, but something about this one really makes me want to make a wrestling poster. Photo-wise - nah, it's a trash. But artistically, I think i like it for maybe an intro to a highlight video, a poster or something of the sort.
