They're not cheap, but they're guaranteed for life. If they loose their stickiness, they'll send you a new set for free.

I have the FX and it works pretty good. You can also cut larger gel sheets and fit them into it as well.

Seeing that he posted just an hour ago, probably nothing yet.;)

So the little tab slides in above the white catch light card? How well does it stay in place while moving around, in wind, etc?

I bought this 3 pack kit from flashzebra. I've never tried any other, but i'm happy. I replaced all the straps that go on the flash, but i can't remember why. I use these on 580exII's and they completely cover the flash head.

In the instructions link on your link above, they say you can get a Stofen cup on over the velcro. Have you actually done this? Its really tight on my 580EXII without any extra layers in the way.

If you wanted, i guess you could. I have a stofen and never use it, and like yours, it's a very tight fit. I don't think the gel would last long if you put the stofen on and off a few times. I tried pushing the stofen on over the gel, and it wrinkles the gel pretty bad.

I'm using the Honl Photo speed strap system...it's pretty nice and easy to use. It's not terribly expensive and I like it better than making my own for some reason.
