I see what you mean on the first photo but not sure what you mean by subject in the second. I was trying to capture the colors in the sky and using the tree as contrast. It is not to say I don't appreciate it nature, but it is nothing special. Now number two is different story, I like the silhouette of the tree. I hadn't noticed the top of the tree until you mentioned it. It is very distracting once you know it's there. That photo was taken from my back yard so I had lots of the neighbors trees to work around. Thanks so much for your input. You did a great job cropping this photo. I didn't think about doing that myself. Did you do anything other than crop it. It's hard to tell unless I looked at the photos side by side.
