is it common to have the exif not show that i am using the Tc on this lens

it still shows that it is at 400 with or without the Tc. it wont show up at any focal length. i have a 5D classic is there any settings i need to change in the camera maybe.

thank you
musso

My 100-400 and 1.4 tc show up in the file info (when viewed both in DPP and Lightroom). It shows under lens - 100-400 +1.4x and under focal length - 560mm. Are you using the Canon tc or a third party unit?
