For their standard shipping? I'm visiting family in Boston and when I've ordered items here in the past it comes super fast when using UPS - and I just want to make sure that they're still using UPS, or if I should upgrade my shipping, because I sure as hell don't want to wait 7-10 days for some non-UPS delivery

I believe they have not changed, call and ask, they have wonderful phone support.

Depends on what you buy. If you're getting something small they'd sometimes use USPS which is a bit slower, but still not 7-10 days. With UPS & Fedex ground shipments it takes one day for package to arrive to Boston.

Come visit NYC, it's only 4 hours away.

Why ask us when one phone call or email (to Adorama) will get you the answer?

Yes. Just received an order, UPS was the only choice regardless of speed of service.

Call early tomorrow morning, then make your order and it may be out the same day!

Depends. I sometimes get my Adorama orders the next day via UPS, and sometimes they take 3-4 days because they were sent via some other carrier who hands it over to the USPS for the last mile (and it's the other carrier, not USPS, that takes their time). If I absolutely, positively have to have it within 2 days, I'll order first thing in the morning and from B&H. Sorry, Helen, but Mail Express just isn't living up to it's name.

Glad to hear Adorama is still using UPS. I always have issues with USPS items they seem to take forever to come. Since I work for UPS I like to support my company when possible.

I personally have had very bad experiences with ups and cannot order from a company unless they ship usps priority mail or fedex. Ive had ups leave my 7d and lenses on my front door with out even a knock or ringing my door bell. I also had them accidently lose a package of mine for almost a month. Also many times during ground shippingbhave they sent it tothe wrong city and had to reroute it back to me.

Glad to hear Adorama is still using UPS....

We also use FedEx and Streamlite: http://www.streamliteinc.com/ (external link) - which I just discovered, after reading their website, used to be mail express....:(

If you order using:

7-10 Business Days or Standard Shipping 3-5 Business Days they may go Streamlite.

UPS 3 Day Select, UPS 2 Day Air & UPS Next Day Air will not.

Rather than starting a new thread, for something that isn't bothering me too much, I figured I would just bump this one as it has related information.

I'm by no means trying to bash Adorama by this, but I'm merely just voicing my experience that I'm having now.

In the past I've always ordered from Adorama and chosen them for anything I need. Mostly in part to ordering items with standard shipping, having the item shipped UPS ground and having it the next day (who could complain right?!). But I ordered an item on the 5th of this month using their standard shipping and it's still in the mail :( It still falls within the 4-6 business days delivery estimate (I hope it will, it hasn't arrived yet) but it was quite a surprise when I didn't see my order at the door step the after the 2nd business next day. (The item is being shipped Streamlite/USPS)

With that said, I'm going to consider other vendors when making my purchase if it will take 4-6 business days regardless of who I order from. (Implying Adorama has lost it's incentive for me to order from them, even if they aren't the cheapest for an item.)

Not upset, just wanted to share. Thanks! -Nick
