Alright so I sold my XT and my 75-300mm and now I'm looking for a new lens. I have $350 right now to spend on it. Is there something in this price range worth buying. Note that right now I only have a 50mm prime for my 5D2.
Thanks,
Phil

Also I got the body uber cheap (under 1600) so i couldn't pass it up. 10D and a sheet of cardboard with a pen hole in it.

Long-term your 5D2 wants (and warrants) something "better" like a 35L, 24-70, or 28-105. ![]() The image quality of the Tamron 28-75mm lens is better than the Canon 28-135mm or 28-105mm lenses and on par with the 24-70L. My only complaint is the non-USM AF in the Tamron lens.

I guess I'm just looking for a good walking around lens, I don't do a lot of zooming. but would like something with at least 70mm length. and one that goes wider than the 50mm some where 35mm and under. What would you say is better the 28-135 canon or the Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8, something to tie me over until I get something better, I like the 50mm but a telephoto would help out a lot. Yes I know and a lot of ppl laughed at it too lol simply because in Europe VW isn't exactly a luxury brand like it is here in North America They asked me how well I understood theoretical physics.
