Looks like he couldn't take what he dished out and squealed like a pig headed egotistical, childish brat. I can steal yours but you can't steel mine, nanner nanner boo boo!

Me thinks when the courts are done, he gonna be writing a check with a few zeros in it, six digit style.

PS, acrylic it's still a copy.
If you take a photograph of a painting and print it, you have just made a copy.

Same ></<> Same, which ever way you look at it.

Have the artist that painted it, placed in a nicely lighted room, with nothing but what she needs to paint.
_Now have her paint it again and let's see just how inspired she was, without a photograph to use in any form.

short and sweet: you're right.

Yup, it's like writers who complain about their work being stolen but stole a photo to put up with their article. It's like photographers complaining about stealing their images while they steal music for their website. It's called hypocrisy and runs rampant nowadays, unfortunately.

Not me. My hypocrisy is entirely justified.

Do you work at Fox?

There's a wannabe writer that has a paragraph under every horribly written article about not stealing his work, how it hurts the writer, etc - but is stealing photos. His justification was "I didn't know it was yours" and then thinks he made it better by putting up another notice saying he doesn't claim the photos are his. Do as I say, not as I do - don't steal my work but I'll steal yours, and it's OK cuz there's a notice!

After a bit it just feels good to bonk em in the nose, LMAO, childish maybe, just pay the 188°° fine and be done with it.

Must be a darn good reason I don't put anything on the Internet, unless it's a hidden link with password.

Based on a few notable cases of artwork (painting, sculptures, etc) that were nearly exact copies of a photograph, this seems to clearly be a copyright infringement. In those cases the originators of the photograph sued and won, so there is also case law to be used. Whether he registered his image, and if its worth the time to pursue is another matter all together.
