Just to confirm
EF "L" lenes ok on a Rebel
EF S lenses not ok on a 5D

Friend has a Rebel and I want to loan her my L glass to use on it. OK?

Yes. EF lenses will work on all Canon EOS camera bodies.

Yes, that is correct. EF on any, EFS on 1.6 crop only (20D and later plus Rebels).

You are correct.

In addition, just so there's no confusion - there is NO DIFFERENCE in how the marked focal lengths "work" on an APS-C format camera. In other words, an EF 50mm lens and an EF-S lens set to 50mm will provide the same field (angle) of view on an APS-C format camera such as the Rebel.
