Please vote on which lens I should buy based on:

  • IQ
  • Glass quality
  • Sharpness
Also based on the main points I would like to see:
  • Wide aperture (less than f/3.5)
  • Wider the better

I recently posted this thread here, this is just the same with a poll.
https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=976247

Budget: 700

I really want the Canon 17-55 2.8 IS USM but that's out of my budget :/ $875 used. If someone could find it near $700 that'd be awesome :D

17-55 or 24-70 2.8 depending if you'll upgrade to full frames soon

Where's the poll? The answer is still the same - Canon 17-55mm f/2.8 or Tamron 17-50mm f/2..8

20 hrs ago your budget was under $400...now it's $700...i'd just wait a couple hours until it doubles again, and then you can buy the 17-55IS :)

seriously though...for under $400 i think the tamron 17-50non VC is probably the best bet...for more than that, i'd probably go for the sigma 17-50OS which didn't make your poll...forget about the L until you're on a FF camera

Damn I forgot to add the Sigma 17-50 2.8, you're right.

Actually, funny thing is that my budget is $865 now haha :D I calculated the price of a few more items I could sell. (old camera, old zune, old ipod touch)

Looks like the Canon 17-55 is the one for me !

Tamron if you're on a tight budget. Canon 17-55 if you can save up a bit more.

700 bucks this would be easy. 85 1.8 and a 50 1.4. Both will be better then what you're looking to get.
