Hi..Im following the tutorial on Gimp and selective coloring. When I get to the step where after I added an alpha channel, and try using the eraser to see the color in the bottom layer, it works, I see color. But the tutorial says this is not practical and to add a layer mask then use paintbrush with black to show the color underneath, as its easier to control. However, when I add the layer mask, white, full opacity. My mouse dies, I can move the pointer, but not right click, paint, choose any tabs or nothing..it just doesnt respond to commands..what gives?
