Today it happened, not even 3 weeks old (1Ds Mark II) and the quick control dial in the back is shot!. $8000 camera and I have to be without it for up to two weeks.

I can't use the menu functions, review images, or change apperture when in the manual mode.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Regards, Bob

The lock shouldn't affect the menu. It only lock the AV dial in manual mode

That's a bummer for sure. Like anything new, things can go wrong but that doesn't make it any more palatable. With it only being 3 weeks old I surprised you didn't get an exchange.

I am assuming that you are not a CPS member otherwise the repairs would be much quicker.

My life is like one big RAW file....way too much post processing needed.
