Santa was good to me this year, got a 5D Mark II for Christmas and started looking for a grip this morning. At first I didn't think anything of it and went straight for the Canon grip, however after some review reading it seems the Vivitar and other aftermarkets seem to perform well at more than half the price. Then I came across a Polaroid version, anyone have any experience with this unit? I haven't found anything online for it.

The genuine Canon BG-E6 has a magnesium chassis which matches that of the camera body

I decided to roll the dice and give the Zeiko a try. Early on in this hobby I tried an Opteka on a 40D and it broke on me but the Zeiko is so close to the Canon that I figured for more than half the price and all the great reviews I had to give it a try.
