EOS 7D or Mark IV

Hey guys, i am in great confusion of whether to go for a 7D or a Mark IV....

Any MARK series camera depreciates very slowly in money which is a great advantage. but the Mark IV isnt even a full frame.

where a 7D is as much powerful as a Mark IV with duel chip, cost less so i can probably buy some more lenses with the money as its one 3rd price. both does videos.. just Mark IV have more focus points.

i usually shoot concerts (sometime wedding) and natural stuff scenery as I will go in a 2 month EU trip around 18 countries.

now i cant decide what to get what would be your recommendation? please feel free to ask me any question

Just more focus points, hmm..

I think either camera will be a huge step up, I think it is a toss up. While the I would like the 1d, the 7d is attractive because it is an awesome camera and you will have more money to buy some good glass.

I always say that if you don't know why you need it, then you probably don't. Either camera would be fine for you. The 7D would be most practical.

Even if you throw the 7D away, you'll still lose less money than selling a MKIV in a couple of years.

As to which one you should get. I'd get the 5DII for it's high ISO performance. As far as the AF... I shoot mostly concerts. It works fine.

+1 sounds like the 5d2 is the camera for you. more glass.

Say....Canon 17-55, 30mm 1.4, 85mm 1.8 and a 70-200 F4 IS L or 70-200 2.8 IS mk1(mk2 if you have enough left over or a tokina 11-16 if you want a wide angle).
Thats a kit dreams are made of.

You could sub the 30mm for the 24Lmk2 or 35L and get a 70-200 F4 non IS L.

Either way a 1dmk4 would be a waste without good FF glass.

On the contrary the 1div is cutting of most of the FF lenses flaws - ie corner sharpness
