Hey guys. Here is a pic from my wedding in Sept. I have LR3, CS5 and Elements. Very new too all this and was hoping you a few of you could do a quick something with this photo and explain how you did. I messed around a bit but nothing special has come out of it.

This pic was taken by my photographer, and we bought the right to all pics.

Thanks!

Lucis Pro, split channels and modify R,G and B separately, followed by Color Efex Pro Tonal Contrast.

This time with Topaz Adjust - Dramatic. Similar, but different.

Last one from me (it's a quiet morning here) - using OnOne's PhotoTools with some mild color correction, dynamic range enhancement and sharpening.

Here's a quick edit doing nothing more than adjusting levels, reducing highlights, and applying a bit of USM:

ACR - set white balance and used "auto" basic processing. CS5 - B&W conversion layer in luminosity blending mode at 50% opacity, B&W conversion layer in normal blending mode at 25% opacity, color balance layer for a cross-processed look.

Lots of curves, adjustment layers, a bit of sharpening and a desaturated background. (Masking done quickly and a bit roughly...)

The original photo is a good one and the suggestions you'll get in here are likely a lot more overdone than they should be (we all want to do something special).

Here's my creative approach:

I think it would be a much better shot just doing something simple and classic like a high contrast black and white. Maybe I am just photoshopped out a bit but I am tired of over the top post processing. I say keep it simple.
