I mainly focus on landscape photography but am trying to move into portraits. A co-worker asked that I take pictures of her family and she would pay me $50.00 and would pick out 5 pics and it would be $10 for each additional (which is a heck of a great deal!). She showed me pictures in a magazine like what she was looking for. I searched all over our metro area for the right scene and found the closest to what she was looking for. she loved the staircase and said it was perfect. and also liked the trains. I took about 100 pictures for them and picked out the best. I put in about 5 hours of post processing/ photoshop work on them to get the effect she was looking for. I showed her the pictures today and she tells me she doesn't like her kid's smiles! wtf! She doesn't want to pay me or buy any of them. Could you guys please take a look at these and tell me if you feel these are frame worthy portraits and help me make them better?

Thank you.
I tried embeding the images from flickr but it's not working for some reason. Here's the links.

No photos, you've copied the direct link. Had a quick glance around and they certainly don't seem poor efforts.

Have to agree with corkneyfonz - they look pretty good. No idea why they aren't appearing here.

Colors look good, compositions are good, and you have a wonderful trio of models. Nice job, they should be pleased.
