Hi folks!

I am just getting into photography and am interested in the community's opinion of my recent photos.

Please don't hold back - I can take it. :)

I like the 1st one the best. Good comp with leading lines.

The horizon isn't straight in #2

The other don't have much interest IMHO

1) Good Leading lines but not much else of interest. Horizon a bit wonky. Exposure seems ok
2) Not sure what Im looking at in the sea? Horizon wonky. Good to see a bit of forground in the front.
3) Where is the birds head? Needs a much tighter crop with the head in view. I like the way the branch comes from the botton right of the image.
4) Not very clear I guess its a spider?
5) Try taking from different perspectives, low down or some other angle, zoom in on a certain part or something different.

Hope thats not too brutal, hey when i first posted on here years ago my first pics were torn apart and thats just what I need to improve. :)

Thanks for the replies so far! Actually, these fotos were taken with a Sony DSC-W310, so my ability to adjust settings was limited. It was this last trip to Key West that inspired me to undraw the purse strings and get a DSLR (I now own a Canon T2i).

I really appreciate the feedback, and no, nothing is too harsh. If I am not taking very interesting fotos then it is no bloody good not knowing it!

Cheers
