I have a spyder 2 and a laptop (XP) with a second screen connected to it.
Is there anyway to calibrate both screens or does windows XP just not support this (using 2 color profiles simultaneously) ?

The Spyder2 Pro can calibrate multiple monitors. The Spyder2 Express can't. It's not an XP issue.

Spyder2 Pro but the question will be as to whether your laptop has full dual monitor support, meaning two LUTs (lookup tables) to provide separate profiles for the two monitors. Your typical "consumer" laptop won't have that so you end up having to either share one profile or you will need to switch profiles "on the fly".

It works but I had to install the Microsoft Color Control Panel Applet for Windows XP which allowed me to associate each profile to the right screen.

Ah, I hadn't heard of that. I had the Spyder2 Express briefly for an old laptop, but upgraded to the Pro for working on my dual monitor desktop workstation, which works seamlessly because I have a graphics card that supports the dual system. Since then I never even looked at setting up a dual system with my laptop for anything "serious" except for a very brief stint while my workstation was in the shop.
