So if I want to have a healthy discussion as to why I would choose the S95 over the G11, Nex-5, LX etc etc I can't bring it up?

I think it's fine. Personally, I would go for the NEX-5. The FPS on that thing is nice.

yeah... actually the Nex-5 is very very attractive at less than $600, you get the camera + 1 16mm f/2.8 lens. now if I understand correctly, nex has a 1.5crop sensor too? :shock: ? so that rocks!!
