Thanks...nice to be back. Christmas holiday and the post-Christmas hangover is finally behind me! ;)

Very well, actually...they hop in and out of the snow like rabbits and they like to burrow their noses into the snow as deep as they can and snort the stuff...its actually really cute to watch them hopping with white powder on their noses...like bunnies hopped up on cocaine.

Did you get any shots of them running around???

You know we'll want to see pics of all that! :D

But I understand if you're too busy enjoying the game and actually eating the food rather than taking pics, lol. :p

when you said your camera had a hard time focusing on similar colours, i didn't know it was this bad

try using a cocktail umbrella to focus on, before removing it for the shot, must be frustrating eh

hahaha.... I dunno I somehow always missed focus on food.. f/2.8 and being very near it in bad light is the culprit. yeah too many excuses.

Love that second shot...the Chinese really know how to party!

I just ordered a Parnis watch (Panerai homage, albeit with a flieger-style dial) from Hong Kong the other day...word is that their entire world shuts down for 1-2 weeks so I won't be seeing that merchandise for a good while.

hey Tom... hello :D welcome back, its Martin has since grew old by a few more years since you were here ;)

hahaha I am actually beginning to get frustrated... I don't like to send my camera to a third party shop to get the sensor cleaned :(

as I said I might think long and hard if the 5D MKIII is good enough at below $3000... I might switch back (mainly due to the proximity of service centers and warranty coverage), I only have 2 lenses right now and 1 will be pretty easy to dispose off if I want to.

so you will probably know before the year ends. haha I wanna do it right first before I buy the 70-200mm.

I am pretty sure I will stand to lose about $800 if I do that though... so I might not do it if I could find a reputable service center here.. and I am worried about build quality of Canon cameras (they look flimsy ;) ) hahaha can't help it.. I might take that back when I see Martin's non-focusing Camera (I hope it looks Macho haha)
