That helps a lot. Maybe I just need to get out and shoot with it more before I start whining so much.

I was shooting in AV and switch over to AE just to see what was going on. I am heading to Paris tomorrow and will be taking some more shots. I will let you know what I come up with.

Mine underexposes by a stop sometimes too so I just compensate for it when I meter. If anything, I'd rather have an overexposed than under.

It's the snow. It's white. Cameras meter for grey so it will try to make the snow grey, which is why it underexposes. Unless a camera has a "snow setting", that is what you are going to get with every camera made.

This is funny to me. In the olden days I had to adjust the setting on my 35mm film camera's when I was shooting snow. Oh and they were FF 35mm films too! :lol: not the cropped 110's!!


20D; 7D; 5Dm2 ... a coupLe Lens; and some other stuff... a decent job, a good son, a strong woman and solid faith!
