Did a fundraiser shoot for Michelle and Sandy - I was trying to capture fall for them. I was going for a soft dreamy look. What do you think C&C appreciated.

All natural light with my 5d + siggy 50 and 24 L II .

I like the look, but I think including the dogs legs and some of the foreground in #3, along with correcting (if possible) some blown whites in #5 would make the set awesome.

Overall, I really like them... especially the winking dog in #6.

Thanks guys.

Teeth, unfortunately the close up of the dog walking with the legs cut off is as shot. I was floating the camera at the dog's eye level with at f/ 1.4 i considered myself lucky to have gotten this shot - note taken, i would have loved the dogs legs in the shot. thanks. I think i screwed up number 5 and completely blew out the highlights were i can't recover.

The critique is much appreciated
Mike

Still, to get that capture at 1.4, props to you... I know I'd be happy with it. Regardless of the highlights, a very nice set.

Overall, a lovely set!

1) I really like the idea and the level you were on, but the focus being on the background kind of bugs me. I wish it were on the dogs; then this shot would go from good to great!

2) Fantastic! I love everything about it - lighting, composition, colors, etc...

3) I agree with the others about the legs, but given your situation I'd still say it's a nice shot.

4) The one on the left is a little washed out to me (maybe some more contrast or something), but the one to the right is gorgeous! Love it.

5) Really pretty, albeit a slight bit blown out.

6) I like it! The fur in the dog's eye is really silly and made me laugh. She has a gorgeous smile and I love the teal behind them.

7) It's nice. Maybe crop a tiny bit more from the bottom?

8) Really, really lovely! Backlighting is gorgeous.

At first i thought to toss it, but then i came back to it and liked it even thought the legs were cut. Thanks again

Thanks for the super critique, and super good eye on # 1 . I thought of leaving that one out since it was slightly oof but decided against it because of the moment captured.

Nice shots,
really like number 6
I like number 5 too but seems a bit blown out (I guess it's hard with a white dog using natural light)
Number 7 the focus seems off a bit

Loved them all.

A comment on #6. The dog's left eye was covered, I would love to see both eyes :)
