Hi Gyus,

Here is a couple of pictures I took of my good wife a couple of days ago. Would appreciate some honest critique as far as lights, CB, PP is concerned. I have just finished watching Zack Arias OneLight and can wait to improve my skills. Any tips welcome. Please be honest about what you see I do want to learn.

Nb. I use my laptop to do PP and unfortunately it's been calibrated.

I think your shots look really nice, I like the first one the most... but, I am not a flash or augmented light guy... but have been interested for sometime... how was Zack's DVD???

I like them. Light looks terrific, focus ideal, DOF great, good smile. What's not to like?

The only nit I would have is the eyes in #1. Perhaps turn her head a bit towards the camera rather than just the eyes.

Damn these are nice - I like the lighting, poses and the textures of the materials surrounding her face...the selection of the coloured scarf is genius (shows nicely in #2)
My only gripe - the scarf label showing in #2.

BTW What does this mean
"...I use my laptop to do PP and unfortunately it's been calibrated"

Oh no! I did clone it out in the first one and you're right, it is so in the eyes in the second one. My fault. That's exactly what I looking for here. You guys point it out and I correct it. That is the way to learn. thanks a lot for you time.

I think it is great, he's great! Tons of tips and advice. He really takes his time to explain things properly. No showing off. Well, you can see his approach and attitude towads the public in many CC and other videos on you tube.
Have you seen this one?

There is plenty of his material on the internet. Someoneon on this forum posted once a link to a video where he compets with Jason Groupp using different lights.Brilliant!

Recommend his website too:
