Im considering changing my wedding prices and would very much like to get some feedback on whether my current pricing structure is too low or too high compared to the level of photography.

you can check it on my website at www.richardgrebby.co.uk (external link) and under the wedding website but here is a quick run down of the prices.

4 hours for £450
6 hours for £550
extra hours at £50 per hour
A disk of pictures from the day £250

Many thanks in advance.

It is a little difficult for those of us not in your area to know your market. Your images are very nice and your website is nice as well. Based on my market(rural Oklahoma) you are on the high end, but for a more metropolitan area, you are in the middle. Assuming you have an average large city market, I think you could charge more.

Thanks Zelseman.

Im worried about the whole price thing looking like a menu and it being a fixed price type deal.

im thinking of changing it to something similar to this..

With prices starting at only £550 we can work together to create the best possible package to capture your perfect day.

Please contact me and ask for a personalized quote.

An example of a top of the range wedding would include the following - £2000

* The full days coverage
* A Choice of an engagement or post wedding photoshoot
* 3 high quality mounted 18 x 12" prints (or smaller)
* A 10 spread (20 page) 16 x 12" Bellissimo Perfetto album which offers a seamless spread across the spine area of your album. The pages are in vibrant lustre or punchy metallic paper options.
* 5 mini albums of the same design of your larger album to give to friends and family.
* A disk with all the photographs from the day inside a unique presentation box

I am changing my price structure with the new year as well...not so much to increase it, but to dumb it down a bit. I hate having to discuss what to drop and what to add to get a wedding at a specific price. I will just have a price to shoot the wedding, a price for a dvd, and print prices. Not going to get into the Gold, Silver and Platinum package pricing anymore!
