But the parts for the machine that makes the sticker are made in China. ;)

They're circling their wagons over on FM. I think I've struck a nerve over there with my "Made in USA" thread where the usual cast of Kool-Aid drinkers has surfaced to support Paul's specious claim.

It's amazing that the best/most reliable thing ever created by PCB was likely the White Lightnings....something he developed 20 years ago. As the saying goes, "they just don't make things like they used to".

Aint that the truth!! I'm afraid to use my two E640 v1s because I'm afraid they might melt. I get more use from my WL1200s and WL600!!

... But since I just added another 600RX, I've only been lighting up Eli's lately ;).

Paul C Buff used to be tight with Frank Zappa. He used to be a musician/audio engineer. If Frank were alive today he'd probably tell PCB to pluck some floss, and move to Montana to be a dental floss tycoon. Course he would have to get there by riding a small tiny horse, named Mighty Little. He's a good horse, even though he's a bit dinky to strap a big saddle or blanket on anyway....

Just saw this post on PCB forum..

For those that are subscribed to this thread, I just received notice from Customer Service that the estimated ship date has slipped to late January due to the batteries being held for international inspections.

Given the recent use of bombs hidden in technical cargo in cargo planes as a way to attack certain countries, it seems understandable and prudent that a couple of thousand lithium batteries coming in on air freight be well inspected to be sure it is what they say it is. Its just a consequence of the times we live in.

So apparantly, it's terrorists fault for the delay now.

Anyone who blames it on terrorism is a Fox News propaganda loving Republican sheep. The laws were made stricter due to fires stemming from Lithium cells in shipment.

I'm ready; I made sure all of my fire extinguishers are fully charged and that all smoke detectors have fresh batteries.

No, Brendan, I've never had the pleasure of owning a Vagabond II PID (Portable Incendiary Device). However, I've read enough about them and their propensity for self-immolation to make sure I take certain precautions. I will not, for example, leave a VML plugged in or switched on while unattended. Battery charging will be on a timer. Lithium battery failure can be catastrophic (just ask Dell and Sony laptop owners) so I intend to err on the side of caution for a good long while.

I'd check on your order. ;) I got two emails (12/30 & 1/4) giving me updated status on the mini. I've that these units on preorder since the end of Nov.
