Hi,

I am having probs getting this image to look good even after processing.

My Monitor is calibrated, I use LR3 & for Retouch PS5.

I dont know if its my eyes, as i spent so long messing with this images or because I used a gel for Tungsten but have a feeling energy saving bulbs are not tungsten??

Please feel free to alter or edit if required. I have attached 3 that are slightly different.

Its driving me mad!!! Just a question

To me the first one is too reddish and the second two are bluish (cool). Did you try a quick White Balance in ACR? I'd use the eyedropper on the door and see if that doesn't help things out.

Or on the white areas of the toy or zoom in and pick a grey patch on the heel of his sock.

I did use the WB eyedropper on the door, but it was not great.

I have a funny feeling i gelled for Tungsten and the ambient bulbs were energy saving bulbs, which i am not sure if they are tungsten or not??

Could that be the prob?

thanks Tony.

Energy savers are usually compact fluorescent bulbs...

I did not check the bulbs!! Duh, What Gel would you use for that type of light?

Of your three versions, I think #1 is closest to right. Here's how I would tweak it. Setting white point and black point will get you most of the way there.

IIRC, 1/4 CTG (color temp green) offsets CF bulbs if there's no other light source.

No. Assuming the door is pretty close to neutral, red is low (too much cyan) and blue is high. It has a blue/cyan cast.

Photo 2 is correct...I'd increase contrast and call it good :)
