It's my first time out of the area with the DSLR! I personally think I did a fairly good job. What do you guys think?

I think you're right, though you did more than a fairly good job, these are great. When I opened this thread I literally said "Wow" seeing the first picture. #3 and 4 are incredible too.

I don't care too much for the very last image as it seems beyond over processed but the rest look great, at least in these smaller sizes.

I can't find any fault with them but be patient, there is always someone here who will...lol I judge a photo by the wow factor when viewing it... either the common person loves your photos or the critics do and as usually the case with the latter the common man says "I don't get it"...

I know, right? I'm just sayin'...

I think you did a really good job on those first couple but the two night time city type ones. The ones with really warm colours, don't do you as a photographer justice compared to everything else you posted so I'd ditch them.

Beautiful set!! Like all of them except the last. Like someone else said it looks really overdone and "fake."

I like them all, even the last shot. It's all a matter of preferences.

They are of good composition and processing, but the first two seem over-sharpened to me, to the point of haloing. The third also, but less so.

I kinda noticed the last one was overdone too. x.X I'll try to redo it sometime this week and see what I can get out of it. The first two might have a bit of haloing because of the Photomatix processing. I actually didn't do any sharpening on those two IIRC. Only noise reduction. Thanks for the C&C so far guys! :D

Lots of halos from post-processing ...
