the close-up mode on this is absolutely incredible, both in daylight and with built in flash, ill try and get more examles

Wanna explain why not? The optics are still the same. All flash ensures is that there's no camera motion being captured.

S 95 - second picture is in "miniature mode", put the detail of the tower is really sharp
