I import a RAW (CR2) file into organizer make a few adjustments, choose Full Edit on Fix down arrow, try to do SOMETHING with the background, foreground, ANYTHING. choose Save AS and save EVERY choice there is then take each choice choose SAVE AS and there IS NO JPG. All I want is to save to the highest quality possible for lab printing. I have this book:
The Photoshop Elements 9 Book for Digital Photographers (Voices That Matter) by Snott Kelby & Matt Kloscowski AKA DUMBER & DUMBEST
They do not discuss Converting layers because EVERYONE has owned a previous verssion of PSE & Books & knows layers. NOT ME. Ist PSE. 1st BOOK. I DON'T KNOW $H#% about layers. Whoever recommended this book as THE BEST do me a favor: DON't. I wasted 40 bucks and endless hours because YOU KNEW LAYERS!
Please, I just want to convert to a high quality JPG for lab printing. Takes me less than 5 mins in DPP & ZB but I cannot work the background in those.[And why, when I adjust Brighness in DPP & make a few other adjustments, save as RAW or TIF, import to PSE9, does PSE9 make it DARK AS SIN AGAIN & undo my other adjustments?
Thanks for your help. Excuse the bold. Copied from Amazon and it will not let me remove bold. And YES I intentionally misspelled tthe authors' names. They are arrogant PRIC&$, IMO. & WHY do they say SAVE AS DNG when there IS NO DNG? BECAUSE THEY ARE DINGY!!!
Gil
got rid of the bold
