I wonder if I would like it better in color. Do you have the color pic that you can upload? Yes, his horn is awesome and sure to have a story attached.

If it is an old photograph it would certainly be more valuable particularly if you could nail down the location and date. BrandonSi Nevermind.. I'm silly. More info | Dec 30, 2010 09:36 | #6 Ed Harp wrote in post #11537850 As far as the shot itself, it lacks some depth and it's a little confusing to see the trees really blurred while the mountain range seems to be much sharper. It may be blurred because of the lens distortion at the corners. I get the feeling that focal blur / bokeh was PP'd in.

You might be right. That thought did occur to me. Just guess the OP will have to respond. Dec 30, 2010 17:39 | #8 it is a digital file from my 1dmk4. I edited it in ps. I like the image for a lot of reasons, most of all because my eye rests in the middle of the image. it starts on the buffalo and goes left but bounces back to the middle off the trees on the left. Thats me. It was taken Sept 19th on Buck Hill in the South unit of TRNP. (teddy roosevelt national park) I believe it was at 70mm from my 70-200. I'll see if I can find the original. Thanks again. Canon "Snappy".... Thanks Mom and Dad!

glowangel Member 58 posts Joined Nov 2009 More info | I like the "old time" look to the photography but as a user previously pointed out there is very little color distinction between the grass and the buffalo. I'm really new to photography and just picking it up as a hobby for now so I don't know how to offer a potential compromise between the two.
