I use photomatix and gimp to create the finished product. they all look 10 times better when they are printed on pearl metallic paper. That's the reason the colors are so intense. It gives the images a certain glow on that paper. here is a more wild shot at #2's location. Too intense for a normal photo but would make a cool album cover.

I agree with the others that say they like #2 the best. You captured it well, and even though it is one of the extreme examples of HDR (in a way I can't use it...) it works very well. IMO much better than the other example @ the same location.

Thanks, It was such a dull grey day that it was hard to get anything decent so I figured why not go to the extreme and have some fun.

+1

Nice composition, the colors work well with the "feel" of the photo. Overall, I'm very pleased with your use of HDR. Most folks don't know how to properly use the tool and wind up with some pretty awful pictures  Keep up the good work!

I actually like #1 but I would like to see it with the Strength slider pulled back about 25-35%. Maybe even the color slider pulled back 10-20%. I think it is just a little past natural looking, but I like it.

As for the 4th image....I actually like it as well. It would have been nice with blue skies but you I like the colors. It looks warm in the bottom right and cold on top. It's a nice mix of colors, IMO.

HDR is http://en.wikipedia.org …igh_dynamic_range_imaging (external link).

It's basically three pictures in one.;)
