Dec 29, 2010 15:22 | #5 I use photomatix and gimp to create the finished product. they all look 10 times better when they are printed on pearl metallic paper. That's the reason the colors are so intense. It gives the images a certain glow on that paper. here is a more wild shot at #2's location. Too intense for a normal photo but would make a cool album cover. 5D MKII-Gripped / T2i / 17-40f/4L / 28-300f/3.5-5L IS / 70-200f/4L / canon 2x II extender / Cheapo 600-1300 Telephoto+2x converter / carbon fiber kick A tripod / a partridge in a pear tree.

You captured it well, and even though it is one of the extreme examples of HDR (in a way I can't use it...) it works very well. IMO much better than the other example @ the same location. Dec 30, 2010 17:08 | #7 Thanks, It was such a dull grey day that it was hard to get anything decent so I figured why not go to the extreme and have some fun. 5D MKII-Gripped / T2i / 17-40f/4L / 28-300f/3.5-5L IS / 70-200f/4L / canon 2x II extender / Cheapo 600-1300 Telephoto+2x converter / carbon fiber kick A tripod / a partridge in a pear tree.

Maybe even the color slider pulled back 10-20%. I think it is just a little past natural looking, but I like it. 1Ds Mk II, 1D Mk II, 50D, 40D, XT (for my son), 17-40L, 24-105L, Bigma 50-500 EX DG, Sigma 150 Macro EX DG, Tokina 12-24 AT-X, Nifty Fifty, Tamron 28-300 (for my son), 580ex II, 430ex II
