Have you determined that the 135L will be too long now? Both are good lenses. I use the 100L on my 1.3x crop body but that choice was based on shotting a bunch of macro also.

I haven't used the Sigma but the Tokina 12-24 works good on the 1.3x crop body from about 14-24. Wider than that you get vignetting and hood interference. The 11-16 is nice but not much zoom on the 1.3x is usable from maybe 13-16 (might as well be a 15mm prime).

I didn't get a chance to try the 135L before I traded it, but that is going to be a while down the road. I now need to fill the gaps. I will probably get either the siggy or tokina 12-24 and either the 24-70L or the 24-105L and then I will worry about the 135 or equivalent. I just wasn't really happy with my first copy of the 24-70 even after I calibrated it, but I like the 2.8. Oh well, maybe by the time I am ready to re-buy the lens, the fabled mk II will be out

I like the 24-70. Seems like one of the zooms that has quality variations though. I had to send mine into Canon to get adjusted because it couldn't be corrected by MA but when it came back it was great.

Skater how is that Mk4? I am looking at that body myself. I have a equipment evaluation request in to Canon for the 1d MK4.

Well I made the trade. My 5d II, my 135L and 500.00 for the 1d iv. It is in brand new condition and recipt in habd was just purchased a little over a month ago. Man the shutter sounds so different, so good compared to the 5d. Now I just need something wider than the 17-40. Looking the sigma or tokina 12-24; whatcha think? What would you recommend to replace the 135 that would be similar? 100L?

100/2.0

I am still getting used to it. It is in a league of it's own. I loved my 5d II, but this thing is crazy. Since I like to shoot multiple genres I think this is the better choice atleast at this time. While I don't need the 10fps, I love the af and iso. If the fabled 5d Mk III has 7d af or better and maybe 5-6 fps, I think I would go back to it. I also got this for an investment, when if the 5d mk iii comes out, the mk ii will drop like a rock, but the 1d mk iv may still be worth enough to make everything worth while.
