Here's one from my recent trip to Cancun. Wish I was on the beach to shoot this (shot from the balcony). 3 exposures (-1: 0: +1)

The first one shows the buildings in the front of the beach. I cropped the buildings out of the second one.

Comments please (still new to HDR)

I played around with this one....adjusted the saturation (amongst other things).

The sunset: See how gray it is in the lightest area where the sunlight is bursting through? Try doing a levels adjustment by clickin on the darkest gray there using the levels white point eyedropper. Now slide the black point slider to the right to about 60.

I think it's OK to have a very bright spot in an image like this...that's what the eye expects to see...and the 'spotlight' on the water is great!

My try:

Thanks NavyDoc. You've done some cool things with the color. Not even close to what I saw that morning.....but that's what's great about HDR....does not always need to look like the original.

This was sunrise by the way - although the new look makes it look like a sunset.
