Hi,

I spent a couple days on the Pender Islands of B.C. earlier in the week and snapped a couple hundred photos. These are the pictures from my trip that I felt were worth sharing and I am looking for input on what you like or don't like.

My concern is that these images lack subject matter. Do you have anything to add? If so...please take some time to post! I would love to hear from anyone here. Here are the pictures. Enjoy.

That 3rd one -in my opinion- had great potential to be a really good story telling image had there been people in it. Like a young couple imideiately came to my mind. ahhh how I wish they were there, still a nice shot.

I like#1, but 2 and 4 are really nice. That old dock is incredible and the driftwood is a nice subject in 4...nice job.

Good critique...I have to agree. I wish I had asked my girlfriend to go over there with the dog. Something for me to think about next time. Thanks.

I was worried about the old dock because someone else told me that it was a very boring photo. Nice to hear some positive feedback on that one. Thanks.

Hi, OK i like your pictures, I think I know what you wanted to show so you succeded in that department. No 2 is my favourite.
I have to say im not a fan of watermarks, I know why they are used, but the one used could be a bit more discrete? At least not so bright. Thats just me.
Pics 1 + 4 the shadows a bit too dark, I can see very little detail.
Pic 2 like the way the tube thingy draws the eye in but is spoilt by the water mark. Also is the horizan straight?
Pic 3 would be improved if that out of focus branch was not in the shot and maybe a step to the left if was possible to bring the table between the two trees.

Hope thats not too brutal, feel free to comment on my postings, I hate when people say its a nice pic. I would rather have picky comments that way I can improve. (Plenty of 'Nice Picture' on Flickr!) :)

I still think #3 is a nice image but yeah, I like that you've framed the table with the berries but they are blurred enough for it to be not intrusive.
