Does anybody know of a USB 3.0 Compact Flash.
I just got a new computer with 3.0 and I am looking for an external card reader.

Any ideas ??

ATM, AFAIK, there is only one. However I can't seem to find any info on it other than it's the first (and only) one.

My best advice is to be patient and simply wait for USB 3 to take root and grow some (yeah I know it sucks, I'm waiting too...)

it will take until mid 2011 before we start to see lots of cases with USB 3 and motherboards with USB3 headers. Having those will help drive the availability of USB 3 UDMA card readers.

The Silverstone case company already has one USB 3 CF reader for inside cases. We will be seeing more of those by mid 2011.

When I about readers and cases I got the following reply

Hi Michael,

We will upgrade the existing cases but this will take a few months for this to happen
We have a 3.5 front 3.0 USB ports that you can add to your case the model number is FP36 as for the card reader we are also working on to upgrade it but it will also take a few months

Thank you

I haven't seen a USB3.0 card reader as of yet. My internal card reader is 2.0

The Pretec P240 is now available on line at a store called My Digital Discount. It's $22.99. I received an email from Delkin saying that they will have a USB 3 reader shipping before the end of march. Hope this helps

I've just ordered a lap top with two USB 3.0 port. So I'll have to look to Delkin or Pretek.

Thanks for the info.

If you're feeling creative you MIGHT be able to find a USB3 HDD PATA caddy that you could modify. However yeah the lack of USB3 CF card readers is a bit strange, I would've expected more by now.
