Hi all, I've posted a few pictures here so far, only had my 60D for a couple months. Anyway, looking for constructive criticism here on any part of the photo... composition, lighting, PP... Give it to me straight :) I did my post work in LR3... I know I need to remove the bra strap, but I was trying to do as much work in LR as I could.

I think its a nice portrait, my only critique would be that the background doesnt do it for me and the lighting in her face seems a tad bit overexposed.

background aside I think highlights are a tad blown out... try not to cut the top of her head off next time... beautiful model so you should have fun perfecting your technique...

I know, right? I'm just sayin'...

Love the angles on this, slope of the wood at the rear to compliment the head slant. Eye positioning is very good. Agree with the brightness, the beautiful teeth look slightly over exposed. Maybe a tad too much red in the face (could be my screen). Easily corrected if so, to give a wonderful image to be proud of.
Copyright symbology is strikingly attentive, I'd try fading a little more so not to detract from the good lady.

I agree with reheat on the teeth.. Almost looks like those plastic vampire teeth with how white they are.. :) I guess I agree with the facial lighting being a tad much, maybe by 1/3 - 1/2 stop.. it's not that bad to me.

As a whole I think you did a great job, most of the issues are minor.

Overall very well done. Nothing to add beyond what the others have said regarding exposure. For my taste, I like the background and the tightness of the crop.

You've got an obvious halo around her head where you've burned in the background. I'm not a big fan of tilts. It works okay here, but its a bad habit to start as you can end up relying on tilts for interest when it should come from subject and composition.

Wow, thanks guys! I'll have to look at my original again, I may have overexposed in the camera... I'll check to see if the info is there. I used the gradient adjuster thingys in LR3 to darken the wood, I could probably cut back on the halo effect if I bring it into Photoshop or adjust the gradient things a little. I still have the top of her head in the original, maybe I'll try another crop. Thanks for helping!! :)
