Meet Michele and Jake. He came home from Guam a few days ago, and I made sure to be at the airport with them to grab some photos.

There are more photos on the blog, as well as the story behind it.

C&C is always appreciated. Im also interested to see what you think about how the photos are presented, in the white border. I think I finally found my way to present them.

Thank you Michele. I am very happy with the results, and they seem to be too. And arent her shoes amazing? She is getting some custom painted for the wedding!

There is a spot in Downtown San Diego (broadway and 5th I believe) where at one point all traffic stops and we were able to run out and get a few shots. I really wanted to use OCF and had it set up, but my triggers wouldnt fire the flash across the street, so we got some "natural" light instead.

I think it's a nice set and I love how in love they look. I also am drooling over those red shoes. The main thing that popped out to me was I'd like to see #4 warmed up. The other night time shots are a little cool but it matches the scene, where as #4 just looks too cool. I am neutral on the border. I don't particularly like it but I don't hate it.

I am super cool n' stuff.

I know, you can feel the hard work the assistant did in the photos.

I totally agree with you on #4, it is too cool. That was one of my first shots when using the flash, and I hadnt quite had everything set yet. I will warm that up for sure.

As for the border, I am really trying to find something that works. I dont have a solid logo, and I have seen too many bad logos take up too much space on a photo, and I am trying to disassociate with that. That being said, it is very easy to crop off my border and take the image. I think I am getting closer to what I like though.

Here are a few more that I would like your opinion on. These are a little off the norm and would like to hear your thoughts on them as well.

This is a tattoo on Jake's back, their last name.

This one has processing that I normally dont use, but I really love the look for this image.

The only time I pulled out the fisheye was for this shot.

Again, C&C graciously welcomed.

Very nice; agree some are a bit cool. Also a fan of the red shoe shot! That red really pops out.

LOVE the red shoe photo.
The shoes say it all about a couple, you can tell she has a sense of style and he is laid back/easygoing.

I understand the debate on the border thing. I did a border for a while with a logo down in the middle but decided it took away from the photos. I have used a small symbol with my blog URL for a long time now, and will either stick with something similar or just go for a URL only when I rebrand. I hate large cluttered looking logos on photos too.

The ring on the back shot. I like the uniqueness and individuality of it but part of me goes, hmm, strange and very unnatural.. But I guess no stacked ring shots are particularly 'natural'. lol. I think if it's has emotional significance to the couple, that's cool. It's a little hard to see the detail in the rings at this distance though.

On the stair photo I love the angle and the DOF. The blacks are a hair overdone (part of whatever you used to process I'm sure) but the coloring I don't mind. I agree it works pretty well.

I think the fisheye worked well for that last shot.. It really shows of the architecture. Maybe a little too warm/orange though.

Fun variety, which is nice.

I am super cool n' stuff.
