Arguably the best m4/3 body for only $299. GF1 body only shipped from Samy's Camera - http://www.amazon.com …TF8&qid=1293734824&sr=8-9 (external link)

Ah, if only the kit with that great little pancake 20mm f/1.7 lens was available at such a deal. Unfortunately, with over $325 more for the lens the deal becomes less appealing. Half off that $900 kit would get me, fer sure!

Thanks for the post!

Doesn't look like there are a lot of choices for lenses, at least not paired with the body. What type of lenses would one search for?

I see you can get adapters to use EOS lenses on manual focus

Canon 50D, 40D, T2i. Canon 24-105L and Nifty Fifty f/1.8 MKi, Tamron 10-24, 28-75, 18-250 and 70-300VC. Panasonic GF1 with 14-42 OIS. Sony DSC-T700 P&S. JVC Everio 3CCD Full HD 1920x1080 hard drive camcorder.

Lots of great reviews on the pancake above. Plus, it sort of defeats the purpose of the camera if you hang a bigass lens on the front of it, donut? From what I've seen, the pancake is much faster than most other lenses available...

You can get the Olympus m zuiko 14-42 for about $100 used on ebay.

Otherwise: http://www.four-thirds.org/en/microft/lense.html (external link)

Also almost any manual lens in any mount via adapters. Rangefinder lenses work nice and are appropriately sized for the body.

Does the Olympus lens you mention require an adapter? I'm assuming it does.

Nope. The Olympus m zuiko lenses are made for micro 4/3s mount, which is universal between Olympus and Panasonic bodies.

The 14-42 is not bad, but I would definitely recommend the Panasonic 20/1.7. $300 tops used. No adapter needed for that one either.

If you are just going to get the Pancake lens anyway, you might as well get the GF1+20mm kit at Adorama for $599. http://www.adorama.com …/F1.7%20Aspherical%20Lens (external link)

Your link goes to a cart (empty for me).

Only found this link at $699 (not $599)

Oh, I get, it. When you add it to the cart, it drops another $100... gotcha.

Ah, I screwed up and went to by this now that I've got the funds and it's no longer available at either place. Please post up if you see the GF-1 go on clearance anywhere else. It looks like they are getting cleared out. (If not already)

Thanks.
