lol! This is the 2nd time this has happened to me... found it on B&H for same price Adorama had and while checking out, I was kicked out of my purchase and the item now shows discontinued. Some #$%$$% beat me to the punch! ;)

OK, I've got to bump this thread to put out props to B&H. I contacted them about my misfortune and while I hit a dead end with the sales department, I encouraged customer service to please check actual stock instead of virtual stock. To my surprise they bumped my request up the ranks and physical stock was checked. Guess what? One lonely kit was waiting for me! Thanks to Henry at B&H for excellent customer service (and the OP here to get me off the stick before this camera became unavailable any longer). I got mine by a whisker...

The other day Samy's got a few more units in. They were priced at $299.95 minus the $150 rebate, bringing the cost to $149.95 plus free shipping. I placed my order and kept my fingers crossed. I noticed an hour or so later the price was "corrected" to $449.95 minus the $150 rebate, for $299.95. I figured my order would be canceled. I got a shipping notice with tracking number, so it looks like they honored the price they listed the body at until they changed it.

Today lensrentals.com had brand new Panasonic micro 4/3 14-42 lenses from kits. $125 plus shipping, total $139.

So grand total for a new GF1 with 14-42 lens $288.95

Can't wait to get it!

Well if anybody wants to bend over there is a seller on FM that has one for a mere $499 shipped... NIB and he ordered it from Samy's a month ago, so he paid $299.95. There might be some wiggle room on the price. /rolleyes

Arrived yesterday, the lens got here last week. What a sweet little set-up and for less than $290 with the lens I feel like I won the bloody library! I really want to get the 20mm pancake lens eventually. You're going to love it!

That's definitely a euphamism I have not heard in the past. Tell me, what exactly does winning the library feel like? :)

Just messing with you. Congrats on the super deal.

Anybody looking for the perfect little case for this camera, check out the Tamrac Aero 20. Fits the body with an attached Panasonic 14-42 lens perfectly. Small enough to drop into a messenger bag for school or work and you will always have a DSLR on you.

Got my Aero 20 on eBay for around $14 shipped.
