Hi all,

Here's a recent collection of SX30 shots of various birds in trees. These were taken from @25-50 ft in various light... all at full zoom (840mm eq) and hand-held.

Bully Robin:

Dark-eyed Junco (male) :

Song Sparrow:

And a couple of (male) Bluebird shots:

We also have a dedicated SX30 Slideshow now which we're updating on a regular basis if anyone here would like to see it. When opened to full-screen, this slideshow will display higher resolution versions of the images than we generally post in the forums:

Fine shots, Kenn but I suspect the SX30 didn't capture them all by itself. Might there have been a skilled shooter somewhere in the mix?

Great stuff Kenn, I just learned that Robins dont necessarily migrate south if there is a food supply for them they will stick around

Really great shots from a SX30 Ken.
Obviously you are very happy with the camera - the specs are good; would you be even more pleased if it had the ability to shoot RAW? Or does it not bother you? I have never used anything but RAW; would I miss it?

Happy New Year.
