This is the resort we stayed at in Cancun (shot from the balcony above the beach).
3 exposures. The first pic is HDR. The second is exposure fusion (same picture). Not the best composition.....but playing around as much as I can right now.

Comments please (tips most welcome).

The first seems a bit undersaturated.

Upped the saturation on the first pic. How's this one looking?

Personally, I think you're working to improve the wrong version. Your second version is much cleaner.

I hope you don't mind but I did a little tweaking of your second image. Just increasing saturation isn't the best way to go in my estimation. By adjusting the levels/curves adjustments first, that will increase saturation some anyway. If you feel a bit more is needed, then, if you use CS5, increase vibrance instead as it's much more subtle.

Here's my edit for an example.

Much nicer, Gene. Happy New Year.

Thanks for the tips Navy Doc. I prefer the exposure fusion version as well. I have made the changes using curves....only have Photoshop CS here.....no CS5.

Let me know what you think of this one. Tried to keep the beige color of the buildings as natural as I could.

Well, I don't think you need me to tell you what you probably already know...great edit...much improved over your first try. There is a slight red tint to the clouds though. Try using a curves adjustment and click on the brightest part of one of the clouds with the 'set white point' eyedropper to knock that down. It will change the color of the building a bit too though.

Thanks NavyDoc. Used set white point now and it did make a difference (I'm not going to post the change). I appreciate all the tips.
